About Holm Oak Cottage
Our largest cottage, Holm Oak has all the cosy style of a cottage but the mod-cons of a newer property. The door opens into the kitchen/lounge diner where you will find a large, well equipped kitchen and a spacious social area including comfy sofas and a farmhouse table.
There is also a large open fire and a smart TV, perfect for relaxing after a day’s exploring. There is the added convenience of a downstairs cloakroom and closet area, perfect for muddy boots or sandy shoes. Upstairs, there is a large master ensuite bedroom with a dressing area and shower room. In addition, there further twin and single bedroom sharing a large family bathroom with full size bath and over-bath power shower.
Outside, the views stretch down across the lawns and parkland with a private, enclosed garden. You are able to park right outside the property.

Is Holm Oak Dog Friendly?
Yes! We warmly welcome up to 2 dogs for £30 per dog per week. The cottage has a open plan layout, with a back door that opens directly onto a private, enclosed fenced garden. The cottage also has hard floors downstairs. Please note, as dogs can vary in size and agility, we cannot guarantee this garden is completely escape proof. For this reason, dogs should always be supervised and remain the responsibility of their owners.
How many people does Holm Oak Cottage sleep?
Holm Oak Cottage sleeps up to five guests in threebedrooms. The spacious master bedroom includes a kingsize bed and ample dressing area with an ensuite shower room. The twin room includes two single beds with storage and the pretty third bedroom has a single bed with storage.
Is Holm Oak Cottage suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues?
Holm Oak Cottage features a downstairs cloakroom toilet and although the three bedrooms are located upstairs, the ensuite has a walk in shower with a small step. The family bathroom has a full size bath with overhead shower.
Does Holm Oak Cottage have a parking space nearby?
Yes, you are welcome to park right outside the front door and there is also space to park an additional car behind too. Do contact us if you have any specific requirements or want to bring a larger vehicle or trailer.
What is provided/included at Holm Oak Cottage?
We provide bed linen and towels for all guests, along with a cleaning kit and tea towels. During the cooler months (typically September to May), logs, firelighters and matches are also supplied. The first basket of logs is complimentary, with additional logs available to purchase if required. You’ll also be welcomed with fresh seasonal flowers and a homemade Cornish cream tea on arrival.
How far is Holm Oak Cottage from Looe? Can I walk?
We are located less than 2 miles from Looe, approximately a 5-10 minute drive. Unfortunately, due to lack of pavement, we do not recommend walking into Looe along the A387. For keen walkers, there is a route via quiet lanes and Kilminorth Woods which takes approximately 2 hours.
Are there any walks direct from Holm Oak cottage?
The entrance drive offers a peaceful countryside walk down to the lodge. The ponds and river attract a variety of wildlife, and with a little luck, you may even spot a kingfisher darting past.
How far is the nearest dog friendly beach?
There are several dog friendly beaches within a short drive, including Hannafore Beach in Looe which is approximately 3 miles away. Seaton Beach is another firm favourite only 15/20 minutes away.
Is there decent WiFi?
Holm Oak Cottage has free SuperFast Broadband.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing (email is fine). You’ll still be responsible for the cost of the booking, but if we’re able to re-let the cottage for some or all of your dates, we’ll refund what we receive, minus a £50 admin fee.
