Beautifully appointed and peaceful
Stayed here for a few days in January 2020. Could not fault anything. Everything had been thought of. We stayed at Holm Cottage, beautifully appointed I could live there all year round it was that well designed! Very comfortable in beautiful rural surroundings, yet within easy reach of beach and town. Would highly recommend.
Me and my husband had a wonderful stay in Peel Cottage. The cottages are in a lovely peaceful location and we slept so well. One day we walked to the pond and we were delighted to see a Kingfisher! The cottage has such a lovely warm cosy feel to it even without the open fire lit. The cottage had everything that we needed and could not ask for more. Coming from London, it was a lovely getaway and we felt so relaxed when we left. We asked to stay longer but unfortunately the cottage had a booking straight after us.
We stayed in Holm Oak and it was immaculate. Beautiful setting about 1 mile up a little lane with a fabulous outlook. Owners have thought of everything – cottage is well equipped and has a handbook with some great recommendations of things to do in the area. Love the fact that the grandchildren have contributed to the guide too. It is cosy and has its own enclosed garden. A real escape from it all! Read a negative review on here but I too stayed in the twin room and found the bed to be really comfortable. No issues sleeping at all – Country air and a comfy bed led to a great night’s sleep. The only time I woke in the night was to an owl hooting outside the window… And that I didn’t mind one bit. I would certainly recommend this lovely spot and will be returning.
I have been coming to the cottages for nearly 20 years and I am amazed that Liz and her family consistently strive to raise the standards for their guests! On arrival, we are met by a wonderful afternoon tea (and dog biscuits for our dogs!), which went down a treat! The cottage was clean and maintained to a high standard and most importantly, we were met by the ever friendly Liz and Lucy who welcomed us so kindly. My wife, parents in law and I, had the most wonderful stay in Peel Cottage. We loved venturing out around Cornwall, as the cottages are in a prime spot and not too far away from many places to visit. We loved coming back to a well presented cottage, situated in beautiful, peaceful grounds and finishing the day with a glass of wine!
