Buller cottage is a cosy, two bedroom traditional cottage with a pretty, sunny, cobbled courtyard garden. A dog friendly base for your holiday near Looe, Cornwall and ideally located for exploring the coast, the moors and the best Cornwall has to offer.

Approaching Buller Cottage through its pretty cobbled garden is a delight. This sunny, private spot is very popular with our guests and the little birds who nest in the rambling creeper.

Upon entering the cottage, the traditional interior is light and spacious. The downstairs is open plan with a lounge/kitchen diner. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge and separate freezer, ideal for any family. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one including a comfortable king size bed and the other with two single beds. There is a bath and over the bath power shower in the bathroom.

Is Buller Cottage Dog Friendly?

Yes! We warmly welcome up to 2 dogs for £30 per dog per week. The cottage has a secluded fenced courtyard enclosed garden and patio with garden furniture. Please note, as dogs can vary in size and agility, we cannot guarantee this garden is completely escape proof. For this reason, dogs should always be supervised and remain the responsibility of their owners.

How many people does Buller Cottage sleep?

Buller Cottage sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms. The double bedroom features a kingsize bed with the other bedroom offering two single beds.

Is Buller Cottage suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues?

Buller cottage has stairs to both bedrooms and bathroom. There is a full size bath with overhead shower.

Does Buller Cottage have a parking space nearby?

Yes, there is one allocated parking space for the cottage, located approximately 30 metres away. There is also a small unloading bay a little closer to the property for ease when arriving and departing. Additional free parking spaces are available but these cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions or specific requirements, please feel free to contact us.

What is provided/included at Buller Cottage?

We provide bed linen and towels for all guests, along with a cleaning kit and tea towels. During the cooler months (typically September to May), logs, firelighters and matches are also supplied. The first basket of logs is complimentary, with additional logs available to purchase if required. You’ll also be welcomed with fresh seasonal flowers and a homemade Cornish cream tea on arrival.

How far is Buller Cottage from Looe? Can I walk?

We are located less than 2 miles from Looe, approximately a 5-10 minute drive. Unfortunately, due to lack of pavement, we do not recommend walking into Looe along the A387. For keen walkers, there is a route via quiet lanes and Kilminorth Woods which takes approximately 2 hours.

Are there any walks direct from Buller cottage?

The entrance drive offers a peaceful countryside walk down to the lodge. The ponds and river attract a variety of wildlife, and with a little luck, you may even spot a kingfisher darting past.

How far is the nearest dog friendly beach?

There are several dog friendly beaches within a short drive, including Hannafore Beach in Looe which is approximately 3 miles away. Seaton Beach is another firm favourite only 15/20 minutes away.

Is there decent WiFi?

Buller Cottage has free SuperFast Broadband.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel, please let us know in writing (email is fine). You’ll still be responsible for the cost of the booking, but if we’re able to re-let the cottage for some or all of your dates, we’ll refund what we receive, minus a £50 admin fee. If the cottage can’t be re-let, unfortunately we won’t be able to offer a refund. Please see our full terms and conditions for details.
